Breast cancer is one of the most common cancer in the women in the developing and developed countries. Cancer is a complex disease.it does not happen overnight. Cancer is due to chaos in the natural body function .There are more than 200 different kind of cancer with its own name and treatment .Breast cancer is one of them .Causes are not yet completely understood.
Some factors may slightly increase a women’s risk of developing the disease.
1. Women who are taking hormone replacement.
2. Who do not have children.
3. Being overweight.
4. Who have never breastfed.
A small number of breast cancer are thought to be caused by inherently faulty genes.
In most women breast cancer is first noticed as a painless lump in the breast. other signs of breast may include.
1.a change in the size of breast.
2.a thickening in the breast tissue.
3.any discharge.
Early detection of breast cancer is helpful for treatment. Self awerness is necessary. Other tests such as memography , ultrasound, niddle biopsy may be used to diagnose breast cancer.
After diagnosis of breast cancer, proper treatment should be taken .Radiotherapy and chemotherapy treat cancer by using high energy ray and using anti- cancer drugs to destroy cancer cells.
This two therapy causes many side effects, but these can be usually be well controlled by medicine .At the treatment time a breast cancer patient should take nutrition diet, take rest. After breast cancer a women fell emotionally and physically drained. So her family persons should always support herself.
